Bosses at Norwegian tanker and terminals group Odfjell quickly faced questions about resuming dividends after posting a first quarterly profit for more than a year.

The Oslo-listed chemical carrier specialist made a net $15.6m in the final three months of 2021, but it wasn’t enough to prevent a full-year loss of $33.2m.

The profit was the first since the third quarter of 2020, while records suggest no dividend has been paid since May 2018, for the 2017 financial year.
