The delay to Frontline’s takeover offer for Belgian tanker counterpart Euronav is simply down to regulatory issues, the John Fredriksen company’s chief executive, Lars Barstad, says.
The tender for Euronav’s shares has been pushed back from the fourth quarter of this year to the first three months of 2023.
Barstad said the process of moving Frontline’s domicile from Bermuda to Cyprus as part of the deal has proved “complicated”.
