Container throughput at the US Port of Tacoma was up 4% last month, reversing a 6.6% decline in December.
The port handled a total of 109,597-teu in January and was helped by a 12% increase in imports to 39,386-teu.
International volumes were up 8.8% year-on-year to 67,100-teu, while domestic volumes – those from Alaska and Hawaii – were down 5% to 31,732-teu.
