China’s Zhenjiang Shipyard has agreed to buy bankrupt rival Jiangsi Shenghua Shipbuilding.
Marketline reported that the yard has struck a deal with Zhenjiang High-tech Zone Development Group to acquire the assets.
Shenghua was known for building bulkers and tankers
The acquisition will enable Zhenjiang Shipyard to build specialised vessels.
