Jiangsu-based Yangzijiang Shipbuilding has raked in $880m-worth of containership newbuildings from Tiger Group’s newly created Greathorse Tiger.
Well-placed sources said the Chinese shipyard has bagged up to eight dual-fuel 14,000-teu newbuildings. The deal is for two firm vessels plus six options. The newbuildings will be fitted with type-B tanks.
Greathorse Tiger is said to be paying around $110m each for the LNG-fuelled newbuildings.
