China's Yangzijiang Shipbuilding has posted stronger earnings in the third quarter as revenue grew.

The Singapore-listed yard group said net profit to 30 September was CNY 866m ($130m), up from CNY 281m in the same period of 2016.

Revenue increased 13% to CNY 4.4bn year-on-year.

It has won new orders for 59 vessels worth $1.6bn so far this year, compared to $823m in the whole of 2016.
