Shipbuilder Ulstein Group and SeaOwls have unveiled what they say is a pioneering heavy-lift jack-up vessel design for developing wind farms.
The cruciform layout makes the ship more than 10% lighter than conventional designs, the companies claimed.
They hope to install next-generation 10-12MW wind turbines in the same time it takes for 6-8MW units now.
