The UK government has launched a shipbuilding credit guarantee scheme which it said will help create hundreds of jobs in coastal communities around the country.
Under the Shipbuilding Credit Guarantee Scheme (SCGS) the UK government will act as a guarantor to open the door to finance for shipowners ready to order or repair ships in the UK.
It comes as part of a £4bn ($5.1bn)
