India's Titagarh Wagons has started work on orders for two fuel barges and two research ships.
The company said its Titagarh Shipyard will build the 1,000-gt barges for the Indian navy at a cost of INR 0.75bn ($11m).
The coastal research vessels are for the National Institute of Ocean Technology (NIOT).
They are priced at INR 1bn.
