Royal IHC has secured newbuilding orders from Egypt’s Suez Canal Authority (SCA) for two 29,190-kw heavy-duty rock cutter section dregders (CSDs).
The vessels will have an overall length of 147.4 metres, a maximum dredging depth of 35 metres and will have accommodation facilities for 73 people.
Royal IHC said the two dredgers would be built at its facility in the Netherlands and are due for delivery in 2020.
