Dutch owner Spliethoff has contracted two new MPP/heavy-lift vessels in China.
The company said the DP2 B-type ships are "versatile" and "unique".
Mawei Shipyard will construct the 12,500-dwt vessels, which are ideal for supplying large volumes and heavy cargo directly offshore, Spliethoff said.
No price or delivery date was revealed.
