The Vietnamese government is planning a restructuring of Shipbuilding Industry Corp (SBIC).
A process has been started to allow the state shipyard group, formerly known as Vinashin, to declare bankruptcy, according to the deputy minister of transport, Nguyen Xuan Sang.
Vietnam News reported that the Ministry of Transport views bankruptcy as inevitable as is seeks an overhaul of core operations and tries to retain experienced managers and workers.
