China’s Seacon Shipping Group has placed an order for two 85,000-dwt bulk carrier newbuildings at CSSC Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding, bringing its order tally to six.
Shipbuilding players familiar with the deal said the pair are option vessels that Seacon held at the state-owned shipyard when it ordered four similar vessels there at the end of 2019. That quartet is due for delivery between end-2021 and 2022.
