PaxOcean Engineering of Singapore’s ambitions to offer sustainable, safe ship recycling have been boosted by Taiwan’s Wan Hai Lines.
The Kuok Singapore-owned shipyard group will recycle five of the 10 container ships that Wan Hai recently sold for green recycling.
Bahrain-based Arab Shipbuilding and Repair Yard (ASRY) has achieved a similar goal, securing the 1,088-teu Wan Hai 165 (built 1998) to realise its sustainable recycling ambitions.
