Japan's NYK Bulk & Projects Carriers has ordered two new eco-heavy lift vessels in China.
The NYK company has picked China Merchants Group's Nanjing Jinling Shipyard for the contracts. No price was disclosed.
The next-generation energy-saving ships will help the group leverage its strength as the only shipping company that owns and operates heavy-lift vessels in Japan.
It is responding to demand for transporting cargoes such as plant machinery, wind-turbine blades and other equipment.
