Neda Maritime Agency of Greece is mulling an order for LR2 tanker newbuildings in South Korea.
Industry sources said the Lykiardopulo-family company has inked a letter of intent (LOI) with South Korea’s Daehan Shipbuilding for a pair 115,000-dwt LR2 product tankers. The deal is for one firm vessel plus one option.
Officials at Daehan declined to comment on their company’s shipbuilding activities, citing contract confidentiality.
