Japan’s Mitsui OSK Lines is selling off used ship equipment from Turkish recycling yards to contribute to sustainability efforts.
The company said its subsidiary MOL Turkey Denizcilik ve Lojistik Tic has launched a website to offer items removed from vessels that are being demolished.
The molturkiye.com operation will “promote recycling and reduce waste of used ship equipment, which until now had to be stored for long periods of time or disposed of at vessel demolition yards in Turkey”, MOL said.
