Jiangnan Shipyard wants to capitalise on its expertise with gas.
The company, which is under the umbrella of China State Shipbuilding Corp (CSSC), was the country’s first shipyard to break into the gas sector by winning a domestic order to build one 3,000-cbm pressurised LPG carrier in the late 1980s — and is making a huge effort in developing gas tankers and gas-related vessels.
