South Korea’s Hyundai Mipo Dockyard (HMD) is adding even more MR tanker newbuildings to its orderbook, but is still a long way from meeting its sales target for 2020.
The Ulsan-based shipyard has secured contracts for two 50,000-dwt product carriers, which will be delivered in the last quarter of 2021 to mystery buyers.
Industry players say two separate shipping companies have each ordered one vessel at HMD at around $35m per ship.
