Korea's Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) has seen new business increase 23% in the first quarter.
The shipbuilder said in a regulatory filing that it signed deals worth $2.044bn to 31 March, according to the Asiasis website.
Ship orders rose 226% year-on-year to $763m, but offshore and engineering saw its total drop 66% to $51m.
It signed up for two VLCCs each for DHT and NS Lemos, as well as LNG carriers for Hoegh LNG and Knutsen, plus an FSRU.
