India's Hindustan Shipyard has made a profit of INR 190m ($2.81m) in its current financial year as production ramped up.

No comparative figure was given, but the value of production per employee increased from INR 1.1m to INR 2.3m as it delivered a record six anchor-handlers, tugs and patrol ships.

It has one of two tugs for Kandla Port also ready for delivery and another will be completed before the end of the month.
