South Korea’s HD Hyundai Heavy Industries has signed a memorandum of understanding with US shipbuilder Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) to collaborate on commercial and defence ship projects.
Signing up at the US Sea-Air-Space Expo, the companies said the partnership aims to strengthen the maritime industrial base of both the US and South Korea, advance technological innovation, maximise production efficiency and reinforce the global defence industry.
