Greece is pushing for shipbuilding and shipping joint ventures to be set up with Russia.
Greek prime ministerial advisor Dimitrios Velanis was cited by the Interfax news agency as saying: "A joint enterprise will make it possible to combine efforts. We are ready to sign a memorandum of cooperation."
