John Fredriksen’s Frontline has secured up to four VLCC newbuilding slots with Hyundai Heavy Industries in South Korea worth close to $320m in total.
Frontline is understood to have firmed up an order for two firm ships with an option on another pair to be built at Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries.
Sources close to the company say the firm ships are priced at just under $80m for delivery dates in 2019.
