France and Italy are close to agreeing a deal for Fincantieri to take over STX France.
Bloomberg reported that French president Emmanuel Macron and Italian prime minister Paolo Gentiloni are due to sign an accord that would allow the Italian shipbuilder to take a majority stake of a little more than 50% in the yard, according to two Italian officials.
