Low-profile Chinese shipbuilder Haidong Shipyard has won a product tanker order from a United Arab Emirates outfit.
Shipbuilding sources said Emepco FZE has signed up for four IMO II/III tankers, to be delivered between 2025 and 2026.
A shipyard manager declined to disclose the buyer’s identity but confirmed that Haidong had been contracted to build a series of panamax product carriers.
