Companies that invested heavily in scrubbers stand to achieve significant returns on their money, given latest trends in bunker prices, Deutsche Bank said in a report.
Following recent price increases for IMO 2020 compliant fuels, the lender's shipping analysts expect the spread between those and traditional high-sulfur fuels to widen to a record average $263 per ton next year. The spread will stand at $218 per ton in 2021, according to their research.
