Newbuilding ordering activity has seen a very slow start in 2019, in what has been described as a “positive development” for ship owners.
“Tanker owners have shown restraint with very minimal ordering over the last six months despite a healthy rate environment,” said Deutsche Bank shipping analyst Amit Mehrotra.
