Turkish shipowner and manager Densay Shipping has contracted a Chinese shipbuilder to build a trio of ultramax bulkers.
Shipping sources said Nantong Xiangyu Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering has been tasked by the low-profile outfit to build three firm 63,500-dwt vessels for delivery in the final quarter of 2021 or the first quarter of 2022.
The sources made no mention of any options attached to the deal.
