Anglo American's diamond company De Beers is spending $142m on the world's biggest mining vessel.
It said Debmarine Namibia, a 50/50 joint venture with the government of Namibia, will build the diamond-mining unit at Kleven Verft in Norway.
Delivery is set for 2021.
It will work alongside the five other mining vessels in the Debmarine Namibia fleet, one of which was built at Kleven in 2016.
