Damen Shipyards said three shipyards in the Netherlands face reorganisation, which will include staff reductions of approximately 150 employees.
The shipyards affected include Rotterdam, Van Brink, and Vlissingen.
Damen said the redundancies stem from fewer repairs, particularly related to vessels serving the oil and gas industry. It said market expectations for the short and medium term are not positive and there is insufficient recovery of commodity prices, particularly oil and gas, to suggest increased repair activity.
