The China Merchants group has reportedly signed up for two pure car carriers (PCCs) at its own yard.
Brokers said the company's CSC Shenzhen subsidiary has contracted the 3,800-vehicle duo for delivery in January and March 2021.
No price was given, but the yard was named as CMHI (Jiangsu).
The group is listed with nine car carriers among its huge fleet of 355 ships.
