Traditional Greek shipping company Chandris (Hellas) has returned to South Korea with a deal for up to two aframax LR2 tanker newbuildings — breaking an eight-year hiatus in its tanker ordering in the Asian country.
Industry sources said Chandris has signed up for one 115,000-dwt product tanker at Daehan Shipbuilding for delivery in the second half of next year. The deal includes an option for an additional ship.
