This week's protests where 15 people were injured in clashes with police have not affected business in the Rio Santiago Shipyard (ARS), said Alejandro Vega, partner with Argentinian law firm Vega & Co.

A group of workers from the state-owned shipyard confronted local police in La Plata, Buenos Aires, injuring 15 people and leading to detention of five protesters.

The protests stem from a nexus of politics and unionism as the port workers are not engaged in any shipbuilding activities, Vega told TradeWinds.
