Yang Ming Marine Transport Corp could be on the brink of a boxship newbuilding splurge of up to $720m.
The Taiwanese owner may sign up for between six and nine new units at compatriot shipbuilding group CSBC, local newspaper Economic Daily News reported.
Keelong-based Yang Ming is already in talks with the builder about a proposed order, the newspaper reported citing the owner’s chairman Lu Feng-hai.
