Workers at ABG-owned Western India Shipyard (WIS) have started a hunger strike over non-payment of wages.
About 350 staff will join in the action on Monday and Tuesday.
They claim they have not been paid for the last seven months.
The hunger strike could continue until 25 July.
WIS workers’ union secretary Seby Pereira told the Times of India this is their last resort.
