STX Offshore & Shipbuilding has bagged an order for a single wind turbine installation vessel from a London-based company.
Gaoh Offshore has signed the letter of intent (LOI) with the Korean yard group but no price was disclosed.
The deepwater installation unit is to be built at STX’s Dalian facility, Gaoh wrote in a statement without mentioning any planned delivery date.
The LOI was actually penned at the end of last year but Goah’s board only granted approval on the deal recently.
