Bergen-based Viken Shipping is set to dispose of two of its oldest tankers.

Shipbrokers said that one of the ships, the 12,800-dwt chemical and product tanker Angleviken (built 2005), has already been sold to a Bangladesh-based buyer. The Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries-built ship went for about $7.1m.

Viken chairman Hans Olav Viken confirmed that the tanker and sistership Askviken (built 2005) are set to be sold.
