On Monday General Dynamics issued a report in which it argued that the market will continue to benefit from increasingly strict emissions requirements and other developments.
“We anticipate that the age of the Jones Act fleet and environmental regulations that impose more stringent emission control limits will continue to provide additional commercial shipbuilding opportunities,” management said.
General Dynamics is the parent of Nassco, one of two US shipyards that are actively involved in the construction of containerships and bluewater tankers.
