The Tangerang-based Pelayaran United Maritime (PUM) says that the 30,700-dwt products tanker Kartika Segara (built 1998) has not been sold despite suggestions that it had gone to undisclosed breakers for $365 per ldt, equating to $3.1m.
PUM purchased the Jurong Shipyard-built ship from Singapore-based Odyssey Maritime for an undisclosed price in July 2014. As with all Indonesian tanker owners, the company bought against a long-term contract with state-owned oil major Pertamina Shipping.
