US sanctions against Turkey have caused upheaval for some of the country’s shiprecyclers after most steel mills in the Aliaga area stopped purchasing scrap.
Only one mill remained in the market but slashed the price it was willing to pay by around $80 per tonne from $325/$330 to $250.
