Star Bulk Carriers has finalised its first vessel acquisitions since 2014 with a $30.3m outlay on two kamsarmaxes.
The Petros Pappas-backed company has signed definitive agreements to add a pair of 81,713-dwt ships built at Jiangsu New Yangzijiang.
As TradeWinds reported last week, Star Bulk was negotiating a deal for Nisshin Shipping’s 81,700-dwt Kapetan Trader I, II and III alongside Canon Trader II.
