Star Bulk Carriers confirmed it sold a capesize bulker in a $23.3m transaction.
The New York-listed bulker owner’s announcement of the sale comes three days after TradeWinds reported that it unloaded the 181,000-dwt Obelix (built 2011).
Star Bulk said the sale price is net of all commissions.
The Petros Pappas-led bulker owner did not disclose the buyer, but TradeWinds reported that it is Kanellakis company Alpha Bulkers.
