Norwegian shipowner Solvang has agreed to sell 37.5% of its holding in Partrederiet Clipper Sirius DA.

Its new stake in the company will be 18.75%, it said.

The move will bring in a profit of $2.9m in the second quarter.

Solvang typically owns shares of its vessels in partnership with other undisclosed owners.

One of its five VLGCs is the 75,000-cbm Clipper Sirius (built 2008), which was fixed for four years by Statoil at $1.8m
