SapuraClough Offshore has exercised an option to purchase the 7,229-dwt Normand Clough (built 2008), a vessel it has long-term chartered for the past five years.
Solstad said the terms of the transaction are confidential though it revealed it had been completed at book value.
It will have a positive cash effect of NOK 200m ($33.6m) during the fourth quarter when the sale is finalised.
