The Intra Asian liner operator has declared options at Taiwanese shipyard CSBC for four 1,800-teu boxships.
SITC is paying a total of $92m for thequartet which was originally part of an eight-ship order placed in April.
It booked two firm vessels initially and exercised optionfor another pair in June.
The move follows just a day after the company placed a freshorder for four more vessels of that size at CSBC, meaning it now has 12 vesselsunder construction at the yard.
