South Korean shipowner Sinokor Merchant Marine is slimming its laid-up LNG carrier fleet by selling two of its laid-up vessels for demolition.
Brokers report Sinokor's 122,000-cbm West Energy (built 1977) has been sold for scrap to cash buyers in Bangladesh. They quote a price of $440 per ldt on the 30,520-ldt vessel, which equates to a final total of about $13.4m.
