The Singapore-listed giant will givePrincess Cruises' 115,875-gt Diamond Princess (built 2004) an upgrade at its Sembawang Shipyard from mid-March next year,the company announced today.
It did not detail the work involved or how much the contractis worth.
Sembawang completed a $30m overhaul of the 1,950-berth SunPrincess (built 1995) in August but there is no indication whether DiamondPrincess will get such an extensive facelift.
Micky Arison’s Carnival Corp signed a long-term repair andmaintenance contract with Sembawang in 2010.
