The Bombay-listed shipowner has sent the 94,540-dwt MotilalNehru (built 1990) to breakers in Alang for an undisclosed fee.
TradeWinds reported this week that the vessel was likely tohave fetched around $7.4m.
Following the sale, SCI is left with the 94,535-dwt Jawaharlal Nehru (built 1992) as the only single hull aframax tanker in its fleet.
SCI booked a net deficit of INR 1.23bn
