Indian owner Apeejay Shipping is buying the 76,000-dwt bulker Ocean Wind (built 2005) from Sato Steamship of Japan.
The Namura built ship has fetched 5.75m, sources say.
Apeejay is listed with a fleet of seven ships, all bulkers.
A purchase of Ocean Wind would be part of a fleet renewal for the company.
It has two units built before 2000 in its fleet, the 42,000-dwt APJ Akhil (built 1989) and the 70,000-dwt APJ Mahakali (built 1996).
